I have been a regular reader of changeminds by my friend, A.Hari. This post by Subroto Bagchi brought tears to my eyes, not only because of the story itself, but because I could identify myself in the narration, and could think back of my parents.My father too, was a govt servant(Police service)and never once did he take his children in his jeep. My brothers would be walking about 5 kms to school, and they would proudly say to their friends,”That’s our father” when they saw the jeep pass by, and the friends would make fun, saying,”If he was really your father, he would have given you all a lift to the school” – He never used the police orderly for any household work, except to receive and take official messages. He too, never owned a house during his lifetime, but left a rich legacy. My mother too, lived a simple life.

The fact that I remembered my own parents so much when I read this blog, is a testimony to the fact that whatever Mr.Bagchi told were universal truths, that they could evoke such emotions in others.

Really inspiring. In fact my son who has completed his B.Tech in Chemical Engineering desires to have a go at civils. But I am a bit apprehensive and am asking him to go to US for his MS studies. I think if one really applies himself and puts in required efforts, there is no reason why one can not succeed in their lives. This is kind of a great insping piece of writing, but it is in rare cases to first drop out of what you were doing and still latter on have a very sucessful life, may be for the writer was a vision shown to him some day and he conciously was working to achieve it. Also he had done it earlier enough such that he was having still time to start another one, otherwise it would not be advisable to spent 30 years following some thing only to drop to look for a new thing which will equally demand the same time to excel in it..Thank you very much

The blog of eminent personalities are to be read and re-read. The one about a girl wanting to become Dr Ambati, the one about Sreeedharan,Visweswaraya and many such blogs are a lesson for the youngsters to emulate. I feel these posts should be edited and brought in a book form and sold by publications like Bharatia Vidya Bhavan at nominal cost so that the young mind will not be perverted as of today.
I think this will be a service for the presentday generation and this blog site should be a treasure house for their discipline in life lest they will fall in bad atmosphere. Young minds when once spoiled will not easy to reform.

I have read many articles on Indira Nooyi.But only from this article I come to know that she did her Bachelor’s degree in science.The photograph which is displayed here is also a rare photograph.

I consider the following portion as something which should be kept in mind by those who want to excel in life:”True success is being happy with yourself, is being fulfilled. Charted Accountancy Examination (India) is said to be one of the toughest professional examinations in India and the topper in the final examination gets higher pay in the first placement itself every year than his counterpart in other professional courses.

In the above success story, the following three things touched my heart:
1)Rajni Gopal is not a blind person since her birth.She lost her eye-sight only after graduation.Under these circumstances, a ordinary person would have wallowed in self-pity.It requires a lot of vision (mental) to decide to go for CA.
2)She was availing the scribe facility in the CA examinations for the first time in the history of the CA examinations.
3)The tragic truth that her father was diagonised with leukaemia did not dampen her spirit.

This is one of the most inspiring things i have ever come across….. here i would like to share that i am also persuing C.A. but unlike Rajni, i am perfect as far as my physical health is concerened…..

I have always been a topper & Have had immense support from my family… they have provided me with best of the luxuries both in monetary terms & emotional terms…. Yet, recently when my C.A final result came out & i couldn’t clear…. for the first time in my life i had failed in something & i wasn’t able to handle it…. days i spent crying & wishing that this shouldn’t have happened after doing all the hard work….

This is when my freind forwarded the link of this amazing story….

Truly it is a kind of life altering moment for me…. Rajni has become my inspiratin & i thank Shri. A .Hari for posting this amazing story & also my freind for forwarding this to me….
